Projects
Whenever possible, CED works closely with the direct beneficiaries of
a project and with a local charity representing their interests. The
engineering staff needed are ideally drawn from the area where the
project is located and, if necessary, we train them in relevant
technology. We also train the people who will use, operate and maintain
the project installations, which is best done by involving them in the
planning and design from the outset.
Every involvement by CED in a project is either undertaken or
supervised by a Director who is a Chartered Engineer with long
experience directly relevant to the project. Over the past seventeen
years CED has worked on about 50 projects worldwide, providing
professional services to communities in eleven countries, on three
continents and in the Pacific Basin. A wide range of government
agencies, churches, missions and charitable trusts has funded the work.
